There are no words to title this blog with!!!

Well it’s about 7:30 am where I am, and I haven’t gone to bed yet. I’ve been up all night long playing Gears of War (drunk Gears, lol, with Doll and friends) and I’m not a bit tired. For the past half hour I’ve been alternating between jumping up and down on my bed in some sort of inane victory dance while salivating over the gameplay trailer for the newly officially announced Diablo 3!!

There’s not much I can say to fully describe my excitement!! I’m sure anyone who’s a fan can relate. I’ll just let you soak it all in for yourselves, if you haven’t already.

The cinematic trailer gave me chills and goosebumps and I must say I’m really digging the Witch Doctor class (the wall of zombies had me giggling like crazy!!)

hey the cabela’s games aren’t too easy–when you have it set on hard its a real pain in the keister hunting down some of those animals. And you have to pass the fishing part on the alaska hunts to advance to the next level*LOL* now I must admit the African Safari was pretty damn easy even on hard.

  • Smiles MD says:

“alaska hunts” pfft.. nothing like slaying zombies or vampires or locus NOOOO you go around killing Bambi and Thumper… *shakes head in disapproval* :)

  • x The Advent x says:

Gamefly is pretty much fantastic! You can keep any game for as long as you like and there are no late fees. Monthly fee is different depending on what you come in on, but I came in on a two month trial for 15.95. Definitely worth it in my opinion!

  • Ravenous Wulf says:

hey shooting Thumper isn’t that easy when you have to shoot 10 on a big ass map in the snow*LOL* and its not only bambi, try Kodiac hunting with a crossbow*LOL* one miss and your bear bait*LOL*
Yeah I have been thinking about trying gamefly but its so much easier to just step out of the office and 2 min later I am in the game store renting*LOL*

  • Smiles MD says:

LOL hitting a bear should be like hitting the broad side of a barn..”kodiac” hunting?? makes me think of kodak like your going to go take pictures…. when shooting stuff does the game take into account wind and trajectory motion and everything?

*Smiles “kodiac” hunts with Rav and pushes him infront of a bear and runs away laughing*

Hmm.. true game stores are convenient but seems like gamefly is a better deal… like they say you pay for convenience.. decisions decisions :)

  • Ravenous Wulf says:

yeah actually the game does take Wind, trajectory, and the movement of the animal into account. On a clean kill(one shot) it will show you a slow motion shot of the bullet as it leaves the barrel and hits your target. And yeah you do pay more for convienance thats the truth, but you can also get the game right then and be playing it that night instead of waiting for it in the mail sometimes(though I have heard gamefly is good about getting product out quick).

LOL smiles I can’t believe you would push me out in front of that Kodiac like that, luckily I had some fish I tickled from the stream and he was good to go with eating that instead of me…shakes fist at smiles…i’ll get you my pretty and your little dog tooo*LOL*

Next cabela’s…target: smiles, location setting: urban, Habitat: can be found frequently in front of TV playing xbox 360 because she’s an addict and part of GA*LOL* hmmm easy target*ROFL*

  • x The Advent x says:

Gamefly actually is more convenient for me. I ride my bike everywhere and it’s hot in Arizona. I’d rather have it come through the mail (and they come fast, mind you. Just a couple of days) than burn up outside. And they have many more choices than places like Blockbuster or your local movie hut.

  • Ravenous Wulf says:

Yeah I know your pain regarding Arizona, that dry heat is killer sometimes. Though our humidity in texas is a beast. Well I work literally 3 min from 2 rental stores: Hastings and block buster and both have a decent selection when it comes to games. I do wish they had better selections at times though and sometimes even when the game comes out,(unless its a hot title) they won’t have it in for rent for like a week. But ya take your good with your bad…LOL

  • x The Advent x says:

True. And the good thing about Gamefly is that they have tons of copies of new games, so you are likely to get the one you want to try.

  • Ravenous Wulf says:

I bow down to your ultimate wisdom :) you do make a very convincing case for gamefly. I may have to try them out sometime–after I download Smiles’s Viva Pinata *LOL*

  • x The Advent x says:

Now that’s what I like to hear. I do have ultimate wisdom, after all. : )

  • Ravenous Wulf says:

LOL ok Advent your starting to trip me out(always a good thing*LOL*). Looks like we have a 3 strong GA team, need to recruit more members*LOL*

Smiles I just want you to know you caused me to take alot of heat last night from your dare*LOL* people saw me downloading the demo to Viva Pinata and were like WTF*ROFL*

  • x The Advent x says:

I always trip people out. That’s my job. : ) One of them, anyway. Another is video gamer extrordinaire.

  • Ravenous Wulf says:

LOL you are deffinetley going to fit in here really well, damn i am glad you and smiles are here. You two keep me crackin up constantly. Ahhhh that would be sooo nice, profession video game player. Sad thing is there actually are people who make hella mad cash playing games–when I say sad thing I am refering to the fact I am not one of them*LOL*

  • Smiles MD says:

ROFL!!!!!! “people saw me downloading the demo to Viva Pinata and were like WTF*ROFL*” :) Soo did you play with the pinatas? How was it?

HAHA your Smiles target was pretty funny :)

By the way i hear you can purchase game from gamefly cheaper than at stores too even the new ones..

Yah I am all for being the gamer who gets PAID to play! How great would that be.. I feel like the 3 of us keep posts alive too glad to have fellow addicts that make me laugh and keep me entertained

Rav take notes on this beautiful example of the anti-spamming method of posting got everything in the first post ;)

  • x The Advent x says:

Well, I plan on sticking around so at least there will be the three of us. Hopefully more people will happen upon this site as well. I enjoy it.

I wonder if I would get burned out on video games if it were my job to play them. ….

    wait for it…

    ahahahaha yeah right.

  • Smiles MD says:

Yah that is a tricky question.. when gaming becomes a job it may not be as fun because you feel forced to play…. I think eventually that would happen as much as no one would want it too… but hey can’t say it wouldn’t be fun for a LOOOOONG time! :)

  • Ravenous Wulf says:

Yeah I have gotten burnt on playing certian games so I switch to another to ease the bordom abit. But if your a pro then your probably playing many different games anyway instead of specializing. Cause honestly now-a-days a game is hot for about 6 months for the most part and then it starts to decline and dies. The only real exeption I have seen was COD2–it went hot for around a year and then when everyone thought it would die when COD3 came out it blossomed back up since COD3 wasn’t that good(multiplayer wise).

Yes smiles I played Viva Pinata for like 30 min, and no I still don’t like it but its more because I don’t care for sims games that much. I am not sure how far I actually got, but i did get a deer pinata. Kept looking around for my crosshairs on the tv set then remembered “this isn’t cabelas*LOL*”

  • x The Advent x says:

One game that hasn’t really gone away is Halo 3. And I can attest to that, as I still play the multiplayer and often. I stopped playing for a couple of months, but that’s because I didn’t have too much time to myself. Now that I have more time to myself, I’ve been interested in getting my rank higher. I’m a goal setter. I want to get to at least 30 within these couple of weeks. We’ll see about that.

  • Ravenous Wulf says:

you know I never really played Halo 3 other than the campaign, I even sold it to get credit for UT3 a few days ago*LOL* The jumping is what gets me, I hate shooters where people are jumping around like freakin bunnies on crack. I know I will run into that as soon as I really start playing UT3.

  • x The Advent x says:

I don’t think jumping bothers me that much. The logic is as follows: what goes up, must come down. So if you’re sniping or something like that you can pretty much tell where someone is going to land, and shoot them accordingly.

Besides, if people aren’t jumping, they are still zagging. It’s always one or the other.

  • Ravenous Wulf says:

yeah but I can handle zig zagging*LOL* but jumping just kills me for some reason, they did the same on COD2 up close and it just kills me*LOL*

  • x The Advent x says:

Haha. Why can you handle the zagging but not the jumping? That’s strange!

  • Smiles MD says:

WHAT!? You SOLD H3? that is like videogame treason >:(
I don’t think I can talk to you anymore Rav *Smiles shakes head disapprovingly*

Good luck Advent getting to 30… you’ll have to let me know when you make it so I can celebrate with ya.

fyi I’m not double posting I promise

  • x The Advent x says:

What level are you at in Team Slayer: H3, Smiles? I was about twenty and then I put the game down for months and just recently picked it back up again.

  • Ravenous Wulf says:

Well I bought it and never play it really, to tell the truth I am horrible at Halo. all that jumping pisses me off*LOL* There’s not so much on UT3 so its all good, oh and I am in love with the Leviathon Tank–I would marry it if it would take me*LOL* that thing is a BEAST

  • x The Advent x says:

Hm, marrying inanimate objects that are virtual, eh Rav? Maybe you’re more troubled than I thought! :P

  • Ravenous Wulf says:

LOL ok maybe not marry*LOL* but that thing is a BEAST I love the main cannon on it. Fires a beam that just nukes everything in the area. And of course Im trouble Advent I thought everyone knew that by now

  • x The Advent x says:

Not trouble, Rav. Troubled. But maybe you’re both. We might need to sit down for that session sooner than I thought. : )

  • Ravenous Wulf says:

LOL I’ve been telling you that Advent but you’ve been too busy playing Xbox during our sessions*LOL* ok lets try this again(lays on couch) it all started when I joined this Girls&Gaming website……..LOL

  • Smiles MD says:

RAV and Leviathon Tank sittin’ in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G!!! First comes love second comes marriage and who knows wtf is in the carriage??

Yah good luck with Rav’s therapy Advent…
*Smiles turns head and sees Rav rocking in a corner soothing his UT3 game and kissing the picture of a tank*

Hmm.. team slayer I think it is about a 24ish although haven’t been into slayer much lately more of lone wolf… I like the glory of me against the world and winning :)

  • x The Advent x says:

I never play lone wolf. I probably should but eh I like having someone to chat with while a wreak havoc upon the universe. : )

  • Ravenous Wulf says:

ROFL smiles “holy sheep shit batman” you had me crying just then. I guess lone wolf is a halo thing*LOL* feelig lost here

  • Smiles MD says:

LOL! yah lone wolf is a H3 thing :)
and sometimes i do enjoy the company during slaying like u Advent but when its one of those day where i just wanna be quiet and game lone wolves it is :)

  • x The Advent x says:

Yeah. I need to play around with that a little bit more. Doubles, too. I think I could be quite good at that if I had the right partner.
