Guitar Hero:: On Tour!
Guitar Hero: On tour is a new game for the Ninendo DS. It comes with coloured fret buttons that plug into the Game Boy Advance slot to create a mini guitar. Even though I hardly play my DS and I have a M3 Simply card to download games onto I am considering picking this up in the near future as I think it would be a great game to pass the 2 hour journey to work and back.
Gameplay is really simple, players strum the onscreen guitar by dragging the pick shaped stylus across the screen while holding down the fret buttons to score points. After the player has successfully hit a selected series of notes, they will gain star power which doubles their score until the meter has run out. The star power is activated by blowing into the DS’s mic.

haha, yeah thats what I was thinking as well. Imagine the funny looks I’ll get on the bus? It’s ok though, it looks fun and thats the main thing.

Oh my, your commute is that long? Mine’s only an hour…I feel less bad about that now.
Also, I’m pretty sure I’d get some nasty looks playing this on the train and flailing about air-guitar style. Might get it for road trips, though

Yeah I could imagine there would be some funny looks seeing someone jamming to some GH hero while on the bus or train

There really is no way I would purchase this, and I love music games. For me it just seems like a way for the company to make more money. Just seems like they’re crossing a line.

Haha. Seriously though. Guitar Hero on a DS? I love GH, and I love the DS, but they do not belong together. If I want portable music, I’ll take my ipod. I don’t need to play a kitchy game like this.
yeah I suppose thats true, I don’t think I would care to play on the DS either. It really just wouldn’t be the same. I still would pay to see you air guitaring it to some ACDC or Aerosmith*LOL*

I agree with Advent. The console gamers are cool because you have the little guitar controller. I don’t know about the whole DS thing. I think if some wild hair grew on my ass and I bought it I’d have a hard time playing because it would be very odd to hold it a

I need something to motivate me to play the DS. Nothing has really grabbed my attention since The Phantom Hourglass.

I’m a huge fan of GH3 (i prefer it more than RB1 due to the playlist) but there is no way in hell i’d buy this for my DS. I could be bias cause i think only Suduko and Animal Crossing are suited for the DS.
I feel i need to jam a full guitar and not mouse.
Also, there are only 4 button! The real GH has 5 and so does RB. I’m sure i’d finally be able to finish on expert on the DS.
I actually like both playlists about the same. There are many songs I enjoy on both games.
I don’t know why it doesn’t grab my attention, gemma. Probably because I think it’s so goofy and they’re just trying to milk fans of the music genre some more. Maybe they’re not, though. I don’t know. It just seems ridiculous to me. But if it’s fun, I guess that’s all that matters.
We borrowed Mario Kart for DS from someone but I haven’t tried it yet.

yeah diddo here, my sons sister has one and I play on it with them from time to time
I’ve been hoping they would put this on PSP with a mini guitar controller so when this came out I was somewhat interested, I tried it at gamestop and its kinda cool, it does seem a little easier with just the 4 buttons so I threw it to expert and man it was pretty tough so they were able to capture some of the feel on the DS, no where near as good as console versions but fun and innovative non the less, also fyi it took them 25 different prototypes to come up with the button attachment.

Well I have never played the versions on any of the regular consols but who knows this could be interesting when your in a car or traveling

I haven’t tried the DS (good I idea to go by Gamestop though) but I assume the console version is far better than the DS..
