I Want To Hold Your Hand
I’m in the middle of packing up my life and moving to a new city, which means that my consoles and gaming PC are packed away on a moving truck somewhere in Midwestern USA.
There will be no gaming hiatus. I’m just switching to handheld.
For the next couple of weeks, I’m going to be making friends with a pretty pink Nintendo DS Lite. So far, my random collection of games includes the following: Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy V*, WordJong, Brain Age 2, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and the Opera Browser. Okay, maybe that last one isn’t a game, but I’ve been using it to check email and whatnot at various wi-fi hotspots, and it’s pretty spiffy.
So, gamers, help me out: Which DS game should I try out next?
* Some of the games are actually GBA games. Hooray for backwards-compatibility!
I haven’t played my DS in a wee while but games I can recommend are:
- Animal Crossing
- Mario Kart
- Trauma Centre
- Professor Laytons Curious Village
- Viva Pinata
- Crossword DS
- Picross
- Sonic
- Final Fantasy Chocobo Tales
I can go on and on.. but there’s a few to keep you busy xD
SUPER MARIO…duh!!! lol. I don’t have to specify which one because I think they’re all good…
another friend of mine just jumped on the hanheld bandwagon so I was suggesting some awesome games to him for the DS, depending on your style of games you get the pick of the litter as there are MANY great games on the handheld but you may only have time to play the best. My suggestion get an R4, but thats just me as I have to try everything.
But here is a list of awesome games worth buying but you can choose the ones that best suite your niche. many are on starlights list as those are the top games and also my favorites

Castlevania Series
Mario Kart (great mario kart with online play)
Trauma Center (awesome surgical maneuvers)
New Mario (It’s a me, mario)
Super Princess Peach (show your girl gamer pride)
Guitar Hero (don’t feel bad about rockin out on your DS in public, its fun)
Sonic,(rush was great) (Chronicles was even fun)
Defenitely Zelda, it should go without saying. one of my favorite.

Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword
Mario Luigi Partners in Time
Chrono Trigger (best RPG of all time with some DS perks)
World Ends With You (great JRPG)
Disgaea (you know this game)
Advance Wars (strategy at its finest)
Elite Beat Agents (I thought was abominable but its on metacritics top 10)
I guess I just gave you another huge list of games to wade through just get get the top nominated of all those of us suggesting to you but do yourself a favor and play the first party must haves, that goes for any nintendo console. Now you know why the DS has outsold any video game hardware in history.
